# Redesign Summary — Example Domain

## Audit Findings

The original source (example.com) contained a single minimal section: a heading, one paragraph of text, and a link. There was no navigation, no visual hierarchy, no CTA beyond a text hyperlink, and no trust signals. The core message — "this domain is for documentation examples" — was the only meaningful content.

## Design Direction

- **Concept:** Elevated Simplicity — premium minimalism with subtle depth and warmth
- **Typography:** Inter (Google Fonts) for both headings and body; clean, modern, highly readable at all sizes
- **Palette:** Warm off-white background (#fafaf9), near-black text (#1c1917), amber/bronze accent (#b45309), warm grays for secondary text
- **Spacing:** 8px grid, generous section padding (100px), 1120px max-width container
- **Animations:** Subtle fade-in-on-scroll for feature cards, smooth hover transitions on buttons and cards
- **Visual accents:** Radial gradient glow in hero, backdrop-filter blur on sticky nav, card lift on hover

## Page Structure

1. **Sticky Navigation** — brand mark + anchor links to sections
2. **Hero** — badge, headline with accent highlight, descriptive subtext, two CTAs (primary link to IANA, secondary to principles)
3. **About** — expanded version of original content with a stats highlight panel (year reserved, RFC designation, global usage, free to reference)
4. **Principles** — three-column card grid: Documentation First, Operational Safety, Universal Neutrality
5. **CTA** — dark section with final call to action linking to official policy
6. **Footer** — minimal, with IANA and RFC 2606 attribution

## What Changed

- Expanded from one flat section to six distinct, paced sections
- Added navigation, visual hierarchy, and clear CTA paths
- Preserved all original content while enriching context and presentation
- Introduced trust signals (IANA attribution, RFC reference, stats panel)
- Applied deliberate typography, spacing, and color system
- Added responsive breakpoint for mobile
- All assets are self-contained (single HTML file, no build step)
